Watercolors: dip the paintbrush in water and rinse in warm water.

Acrylic: clean in soapy water and rinse in warm water.

Oil: Using a hydrating paintbrush cleaner after using taltine or soap prevents bristles from drying and keeps the supple shape of the paintbrush.
